SHIWA Portal Account

Users need a portal account to be able to create, submit and monitor workflows on the portal. They should contact the portal administrator and ask him to create a portal account:

SHIWA Repository Account

Users need a repository account to be able to upload, modify and delete workflows in the repository. They should contact the repository administrator and ask him to create a repository account:

Remark : We will create portal and repository accounts with the same username and password.

Certificate

Users need a valid X509 certificate to be able to use the SHIWA Simulation Platform.

Remark : If user does not have a certificate, we will create a training certificate for the application porting workshop. If you need a training certificate please contact

VO Membership

User should apply for Westfocus/SHIWA VO membership to be able to submit and execute workflows on the SHIWA Simulation Platform. They should follow the instructions given below:

a.    Go to http://www.ngs.ac.uk/use/cacerts . Download and install the CA (Certification Authority) and the Root certificates. Install UK Root CA , UK eScience 2A , and UK eScience 2B certificates.

c.    Your Distinguished name (DN) should be automatically read from your certificate and displayed, as should your Certificate Authority (CA).

d.    Give your email address and your institute name. 

e.    If you agree to the VO's usage rules, tick the box to accept them, and click "Register!".

f. VO registration request will be sent to the VO manager, and it will be approved shortly. 

User should notify the Westfocus sysadmin about the VO membership request and him to accept the request. Please contact
